The Red Bull Showrun 2024 will transform Rohanské nábřeží in Prague into a race track on August 16 and 17. The legendary F1 racing car, the RB7, which brought German Sebastian Vettel and Australian Mark Webber twelve victories, helped Vettel secure the World Championship, and contributed to Red Bull Racing winning the Constructors’ Cup, will be on display. Visitors and local residents should prepare for significant traffic restrictions.
The Rohanské nábřeží site will host the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team’s Red Bull Showrun Prague. Spectators will have the opportunity to see the RB7 up close, along with various other demonstrations of racing cars and motorbikes.
For the event, a temporary fenced-off area will be created, centered on a designated section of Rohanské nábřeží Street, where a track for show runs will be set up. Mobile grandstands for spectators will be erected on both sides of the street. The seating areas will be connected to the north-west side by a fan zone, which will include refreshments and toilets. Large LED screens will be available to follow the action. The expected number of participants is 20,000.
The fan zone will be open to the public on Friday, August 16. The main program for spectators will take place the following day.
It’s important for drivers and residents to note that a large part of Rohanské nábřeží Street, in the direction of the city center and Vysočany, will be completely closed to normal traffic. This closure will extend from the intersection of Šaldova and Breitfeldova streets to the adjacent Voctářova, U Rustonky, and Švábky streets. Due to the preparatory work and the subsequent dismantling of the event, the closure will last from Friday at 3:00 PM to Sunday at 6:00 PM.
Detours towards the city center from Balabenka, and vice versa towards Vysočany from Karlín, will be via Sokolovská and Šaldova streets. The detour towards the city center from Libeň will be via Libeňský most, Dělnická, Argentinská, Hlávkův most, and Wilsonova. From Holešovice, drivers can use Voctářova, Zenklova, Prosecká, Čuprova, Spojovací, Novovysočanská, and Pod Krejcárkem roads to reach Žižkov.
