Prague Public Transport Resumes Normal Operation After Summer Holidays

Starting Saturday, August 31, 2024, Prague’s public transport services will return to their regular schedules following the summer break. However, be aware that some bus routes and new school buses will introduce additional changes in the region.

From August 31, 2024, Prague’s public transport will operate normally after the summer restrictions. Notably, bus lines 107 and 143 will continue with a slightly reduced timetable throughout September. These routes are typically adjusted during the university semester to accommodate increased student demand.

Additionally, permanent changes will take effect on August 31 and September 1 for various bus routes in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. Areas around Mníšek pod Brdy and municipalities near Ruzyně Airport will be particularly affected. New school bus routes will also be introduced in both Prague and the Central Bohemian Region, and increased traffic volumes are expected in neighborhoods such as Třebešín and Stará Ruzyně.

The ROPID transport association reminds all students and their parents of the nationwide system for bus and trolleybus stop signs introduced in June. To disembark at a stop, passengers must press the button in the vehicle in advance. To board, standing visibly at the stop is sufficient; waving is no longer necessary.
