On Saturday, 5 October 2024, Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) invites you to an Open Day at the Depot Hostivař. From 10:00 to 16:00, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the inner workings of this facility, which is usually closed to the public. The event offers a varied program for technology enthusiasts, families, and fans of local public transport.
Visitos can look forward to guided tours of the technical facilities and demonstrations of the vehicle fleet. Both historic vehicles and modern technologies, including environmentally friendly concepts, will be showcased. A highlight of the day will be a live demonstration by the DPP fire brigade rescue service.
A special program for children will include sports and learning stations, a creative workshop, and a traffic-themed playground. Younger visitors will also enjoy a bouncy castle and a photo corner. The recruitment stand will provide information about career opportunities at DPP. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event.
Admission is free. Visitors can easily reach the event by taking tram line 16 to the ‘Ústřední dílny DP’ stop, or an extended tram line 19, which will have increased capacity on the day. Alternatively, bus services are available to the ‘Na Homoli’ stop, a short walk from the depot.
