The arena is not only intended for ice hockey games but will also host concerts and other major events

A new ice hockey arena is set to be built in Pardubice, which, with a planned capacity of 22,296 spectators, could become the largest in the world. The owner of the Dynamo Pardubice ice hockey club, Petr Dědek, presented the ambitious project to city officials. Initially, a capacity of 15,000 seats was planned, but the designs have since been expanded. The arena is scheduled for completion in August 2027.

According to sport.cz, in addition to the main arena, the project will include a smaller hall, a hotel, and a multi-storey car park, with a total cost of 10.5 billion crowns – more than the eight billion crowns estimated in December. The arena will feature various seating and standing areas, including VIP seats and spaces for people with disabilities.

Currently, the largest ice hockey arena is in St. Petersburg, which has a capacity of 21,542 spectators. The planned arena in Pardubice would surpass this number, earning a place in the Guinness Book of Records.
