The Comeback of the Airbus A380 in Prague: Emirates Opts for the Giant Aircraft

Starting December 1, the giant Airbus A380 will operate daily flights EK 139 and EK 140 between Dubai and Prague

After a long hiatus, the impressive Airbus A380, the largest passenger aircraft in the world, is returning to regular flight operations at Prague Airport. From December 1, this aircraft will operate daily Emirates flights from Dubai to Prague, much to the delight of aviation enthusiasts. However, the return is only temporary: the A380 will be replaced by a Boeing 777 at the end of March.

The world’s largest passenger aircraft, the Airbus A380, will resume regular scheduled flights at Prague Airport for the first time since the pandemic. According to Prague Airport, the Airbus A380 will be deployed daily on flights EK 139 and EK 140 between Dubai and Prague starting December 1.

The first scheduled Airbus A380 Emirates flight landed in Prague back in 2016. The aircraft’s arrival on May 1 that year garnered significant attention, attracting numerous visitors to witness the event at Prague Airport.

However, fans of the world’s largest passenger aircraft may be disappointed, as this is not a permanent return. According to the aviation magazine Aeroweb.cz, the A380 will only operate until March 29, after which it will be replaced by a Boeing 777, which has been serving the route since it resumed operations following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Airbus A380 is closely associated with Emirates, the airline with the largest fleet of A380s. A total of 254 aircraft of this type have been built, and they are also used by airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Korean Air, Qatar Airways, and Etihad Airways.
