World-renowned violin virtuoso David Garrett will present an unforgettable concert full of classical music and impressive melodies at the O₂ Universum in Prague on May 3, 2025.
His latest album, ICONIC, released by Deutsche Grammophon in November 2022, reached number 4 on the German album charts and has since been awarded Gold status.
David Garrett, who picked up his first violin at the age of four, is recognized as one of the greatest talents of his generation. He studied under esteemed teachers such as Zakhar Bron and Ida Haendel and made his stage debut at the age of ten. At 13, he became the youngest artist to sign a contract with the prestigious record label Deutsche Grammophon. As a child, Garrett performed with some of the most important conductors of his time, including Zubin Mehta, Claudio Abbado, and Yehudi Menuhin. At just 15, he recorded all 24 Caprices by Paganini—some of the most demanding pieces for the violin. Yehudi Menuhin praised him as “the greatest violinist of his generation.”
Despite his successes, Garrett continuously sought ways to perfect his craft. He studied at the famous Juilliard School in New York under the guidance of Itzhak Perlman.
After graduating, David Garrett continued to perform with the world’s most outstanding orchestras, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Filarmonica della Scala, and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He has collaborated with some of the most renowned conductors in classical music, including Zubin Mehta, Christoph Eschenbach, and Riccardo Chailly.
