The well-known Czech online property marketplace, Bezrealitky.cz, which facilitates “broker-free” property transactions, has entered into a new partnership with its German counterpart, Ohne-Makler, as reported by the online magazine CzechCrunch.
Bezrealitky has been a key player in the Czech property market for several years. The platform is part of the European Housing Services (EHS) group, founded by investor Marek Rosenbaum. According to CEO Hendrik Meyer, EHS aims to build the largest integrated property service in the countries neighbouring the Czech Republic, with plans to expand across Europe. Ohne-Makler operates on the same model in Germany as the Czech portal and is the market leader in its sector.
“We have achieved something truly remarkable at European Housing Services! After intensive and enriching negotiations, we have launched a joint venture between Bezrealitky and Germany’s leading provider of broker-free property services, Ohne-Makler. Together, we are creating Europe’s largest digital platform for property sales and rentals without brokers, processing almost 100,000 transactions annually. And this is just the beginning!” commented Hendrik Meyer, CEO of European Housing Services, on the partnership.
“At the beginning of next year, we will expand into Austria, making us active in a total of four Central European markets. But this is just the start – our goal is to enter a new European market every year. Together with Ohne-Makler, we will transform the path to homeownership and renting, making it fairer, more convenient, and safer!” Meyer added.
Bezrealitky was founded in the Czech Republic in 2007, and the German counterpart Ohne-Makler followed two years later. The owner of Ohne-Makler, Hendrik Richter, has reportedly been in talks with Marek Rosenbaum about a potential merger for over a year.
Both parties now each own 50% of the company. Next year, the companies plan to expand into Austria and then target further markets. Specific details about the transaction have not been disclosed.
