Christmas at Prague Airport: Lights, Carols, and Gingerbread

On 12 December, passengers can look forward to a Christmas market and a live concert

This year, Prague Airport surprises with special Christmas greetings. In the airport’s Christmas commercial, a colourful Christmas tree made of airport emergency vehicles shines from runway 12/30. Prague Airport’s Christmas campaign also includes a website where users can write their own Christmas and New Year wishes and share these digital greetings with their loved ones.

‘Our video advert celebrates Christmas while wishing us all the best for 2025. It conveys the message of looking at life and the world from a new perspective. The Christmas period and the turn of the year are the best opportunities to do just that. We can escape the hustle and bustle, spend time with our loved ones, and take stock,’ explains Eva Krejčí, Director of Communications and Marketing at Prague Airport.

The central motif of the video clip is the illuminated silhouette of a Christmas tree. This was created directly on runway 12/30 of Václav Havel Airport using 32 airport vehicles, whose lights combine to form a unique Christmas tree. The scene, shot with a drone under the organisational direction of the marketing team, showcases the technology and cooperation of airport security, terminal management, operational development, airport maintenance, and fire brigade departments.
