Award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and director Ricky Gervais has announced additional dates for his show Mortality across Europe in 2025. Gervais will continue to bring his brand-new stand-up show to audiences around the world. On October 4, 2025, he will take the stage at Prague’s O2 Arena.
Ricky Gervais has announced additional dates for his brand-new stand-up show, MORTALITY. His latest stand-up special, Armageddon, won a Golden Globe, topped the Netflix charts, and set a world record for the highest-grossing comedy show of all time. Mortality will once again be filmed for Netflix. With over 80 work-in-progress shows now under his belt this year, Gervais said, “We’re all going to die. May as well have a laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life and death. Bring it on.”
As he did with his previous tours, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity. £1.91 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Armageddon tour in 2023.
Considered one of the most influential British comedians since Charlie Chaplin (he received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy in 2016 from BAFTA/LA), Ricky Gervais is the creator and star of The Office, Extras, Derek, and the critically acclaimed Netflix hit After Life.
Following the global success of his two previous Netflix stand-up specials, Humanity and Supernature, 2023 saw Gervais release a third special and his biggest to date, Armageddon. It won a Golden Globe, was the global number one most-watched show on Netflix, and followed a record-breaking international tour, selling out 85 arena dates across the world. Gervais’s show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-grossing comedy gig ever.
Gervais has won countless awards throughout his career and enjoyed huge critical success for the outstanding three series of After Life. His hit series The Office is the most successful British comedy of all time, shown in more than 90 countries, with 13 remakes. Ricky has hosted the Golden Globe Awards five times, in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, and 2020.
