Farewell to Prague Transport Company’s 2024 Christmas Fleet
Prague Public Transport's Vánoční flotila has spread festive cheer across the city, becoming the subject of countless photos and videos on social media
On Monday, 6 January 2025, Prague will bid farewell to this year’s Christmas fleet. As a grand finale, a special gathering will take place, bringing together almost all of the festively illuminated vehicles for one last time.
The festive Christmas fleet of the Prague Transport Company (Vánoční flotila) has once again created a magical atmosphere throughout the city. Since 30 November 2024, the colourful parade of decorated trams and buses—adorned with thousands of lights and winter decorations—has been travelling the streets of Prague, spreading holiday joy and becoming a popular subject of photos and videos across social media.
On Epiphany, at 18:18, the trams and buses will gather at the Palmovka intersection for the final time this season. This unique moment, lasting only a few minutes, offers a last opportunity to enjoy the special festive atmosphere.
This year, the Christmas fleet also had a charitable purpose: through this campaign, Prague’s public transport company aims to express gratitude to all those who contributed to fulfilling 507 children’s wishes from 15 orphanages.
