Blues-rock legend Joe Bonamassa is set to electrify Prague with his upcoming performance at O2 Universum on 2 May 2025. Known for his unparalleled talent and prolific career, Bonamassa continues to redefine modern blues-rock on the global stage.
Joe Bonamassa is one of today’s most celebrated blues-rock musicians. A three-time GRAMMY-nominated artist and 15-time Blues Music Award nominee (and four-time winner), he achieved his 27th No. 1 album on the Billboard Blues Chart with his most recent studio album, Blues Deluxe Vol. 2. Still in his mid-40s, Bonamassa has become a living legend with an astounding multi-genre catalogue. He has released more than 50 albums, including studio and live recordings, as well as collaborative projects with his adventurous side bands: Black Country Communion and Rock Candy Funk Party. His most ambitious project yet, Live At The Hollywood Bowl With Orchestra, was recently released and confirms that Bonamassa is at the top of his game.
A native of New York State, Bonamassa opened for B.B. King when he was only 12 years old and has since played alongside icons such as Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills, John Lee Hooker, Warren Haynes, Steve Winwood, Peter Frampton, and Buddy Guy. B.B. King might not have guessed it at the time, but that 12-year-old prodigy would grow into an industry powerhouse.
A prolific writer with a boundless work ethic, Bonamassa is constantly expanding his eclectic musical horizons—whether in the studio, on the road, or collaborating with other artists to create new music. In recent years, he has produced a remarkable number of albums for artists such as Joanne Shaw Taylor, Marc Broussard, Larry McCray, and Jimmy Hall through his independent label, KTBA Records. He also recently launched Journeyman LLC, a full-service artist management, record label, concert promotion, and marketing company dedicated to building awareness for independent artists worldwide.
Bonamassa has been featured in numerous publications, including Esquire, The Wall Street Journal, and Parade, as well as on the covers of Guitar World, Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar, Guitarist, and Classic Rock Magazine. His non-profit organisation, Keeping The Blues Alive, provides funds and resources to schools and artists in need, positively impacting more than 100,000 students to date and raising over $2 million in donations.
