Located in the heart of Prague, the five-star Fairmont Golden Prague hotel is set to open this spring, giving a new life to an iconic Prague landmark. The hotel will feature 320 rooms, suites, and serviced residences, offering modern comfort, exceptional gastronomy in its restaurants and bars, and peaceful relaxation at the Fairmont Spa & Wellness.
This exceptional hotel building will embark on a new chapter under the name Fairmont Golden Prague. With this launch, Prague will join nearly ninety exclusive hotels operated worldwide by the luxury chain Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. In each destination, Fairmont represents a symbol of outstanding service, respect for history, and a deep connection with the local community.
“For more than a hundred years, Fairmont has built a reputation as a place where significant events and historical moments take place. Our mission is to continue transforming moments spent at the hotel into unforgettable and special memories for our guests. Fairmont hotels are more than just luxury accommodation – each has its own character, soul, and connection to the local community. We are already in discussions with organisers of leading cultural events in the Czech Republic about collaboration,” said Gerhard Struger, Managing Director of Fairmont Golden Prague.
The Fairmont Golden Prague building is a masterful example of brutalist architecture, thoughtfully updated through sensitive reconstruction. This historic site, which has previously hosted notable figures from the worlds of politics, music, film, and sport – including Richard Nixon, Margaret Thatcher, and Tom Cruise – will once again showcase the finest in Czechoslovak and contemporary design and art.
The 320 rooms, suites, and serviced residences will boast entirely new modern interiors, characterised by soothing colours and luxurious natural materials such as wood, glass, and leather. These elegant spaces will also offer breathtaking views of Prague.
Guests seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city can indulge in the extensive spa and fitness centre, Fairmont Spa & Wellness. Among its many amenities, the centre will feature an indoor pool that seamlessly transitions into an outdoor oasis – a unique, year-round retreat in the heart of Prague.
The hotel’s exceptional restaurants and bars will cater to every occasion and mood, whether for guests or local residents. From a modern restaurant featuring Czech beer and a terrace accessible from Dvořák Embankment, to venues offering Asian specialities and fine dining experiences, there will be something for everyone. The crowning jewel will be a rooftop restaurant, where guests can enjoy some of Prague’s finest culinary delights while taking in breathtaking views of the city’s majestic skyline.
