Legendary American band Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform in Prague for the very first time! The creators of the iconic hit Sweet Home Alabama will take the stage on 7 July 2025 at the O2 Arena. This concert is part of a tour celebrating an incredible 50 years of their musical journey.
More than half a century after the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd, Lynyrd Skynyrd continues to resonate deeply with their multi-generational fan base, just as they did when they first emerged from Jacksonville, Florida, in 1973. Few bands have had such a profound impact in shaping a lifestyle as Lynyrd Skynyrd has.
The group moves forward with a mission to celebrate a legacy that honours all those who have made a lasting contribution to the lives of millions of fans worldwide. Former members Ronnie Van Zant, Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, Ed King, Billy Powell, Bob Burns, and Leon Wilkeson, along with others, will forever remain significant contributors to this iconic repertoire and the band’s storied history. Today, Lynyrd Skynyrd carries on with a line-up that includes Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Damon Johnson, Mark “Sparky” Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Carol Chase, and Stacy Michelle.
