TOP Zaměstnavatelé 2025: The Most Popular Employers Among Czech Students and School Leavers

Graduates are not only focused on financial remuneration when choosing their first job, but primarily on stability, the meaningfulness of the work, and opportunities for development

The Asociace studentů a absolventů (Association of Students and Graduates) has published the most popular employers of the young generation in the Czech Republic for 2025. In the 14th edition of the TOP Zaměstnavatelé study, which saw 11,872 university students and 7,014 school leavers from across the country participate, the ČEZ Group emerged as the clear winner once again—particularly among students from technical faculties.

Business students prefer KPMG Czech Republic, aspiring lawyers wish to work for the law firm HAVEL & PARTNERS, and students from medical and pharmaceutical faculties are inclined towards the University Hospital in Motol. The “Rising Star of the Year” (SKOKAN ROKU) award went this year to the technology company Prusa Research. For the first time, Česká spořitelna and T-Mobile CZ were named as the preferred employers by school leavers in the “First Choice” (První volba) category.

“Similar to last year, it is evident that future graduates are not only focused on financial remuneration when choosing their first job, but primarily on stability, the meaningfulness of the work, and opportunities for development. They value a friendly working environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and mutual recognition. At the same time, they seek roles that align with their personal values, offer space for innovation, and have a visible impact on the results of a company or project. Job stability, flexible working hours, and management support for education and training are other key factors influencing their decisions,” commented Daniel Novák, Head of the TOP Employers study, on the results.

According to the study, the salary expectations of university graduates have remained unchanged compared to the previous year. Nearly 30% expect a gross monthly salary between 40,000 and 50,000 CZK. However, these expectations still exceed the actual starting salaries, although the trend indicates that university graduates remain ambitious and are becoming increasingly aware of the realities of the job market.

The survey was conducted via an online questionnaire in collaboration with the research institute NIQ. The experiences of sociologists and the know-how accumulated over the past 13 years were incorporated into the study. The rankings of companies in each category are based on the results of the survey. The questions are revised annually to reflect current trends in the employment behaviour of students and school leavers. Data collection took place from 1 October to 12 December 2024.

The Association of Students and Graduates (Asociace studentů a absolventů) is a non-profit organisation that has supported its members in personal and professional development through active involvement in various projects since its establishment in 2008.
