After a Six-Year Hiatus: Prague and Zagreb to Reconnect with Three Weekly Direct Flights from July

Croatia Airlines to Offer Direct Flights to the Croatian Capital on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

With the introduction of the summer flight schedule, direct flights between Prague and Zagreb will return to Václav Havel Airport Prague. From July, Croatian airline Croatia Airlines will operate this route as its third connection from Prague. Ticket sales have already begun.

The direct route to the Croatian capital will be available three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the afternoon. Departures from Prague are scheduled for 14:10, arriving in Zagreb at 15:20. The return flight departs from Zagreb at 12:10 and lands in Prague at 13:20. Croatia Airlines will operate an Airbus A220-300 on this route, with a capacity of 149 passengers. The first flight on the resumed service is set for 2 July, with operations continuing until the end of the summer season.

“Thanks to our excellent cooperation with Croatia Airlines, the Zagreb route is returning to our network after nearly six years. This aligns with our strategy of connecting Prague with all European capitals via direct flights. In 2019, more than 25,000 passengers used this route. Croatia remains a popular destination for Czech holidaymakers, but we also anticipate strong demand from business travellers,” said Jaroslav Filip, Head of Air Service Development at Prague Airport.

“We are delighted to expand our network with this new seasonal Prague-Zagreb service. We are confident that many Czech travellers will appreciate this fast and convenient connection to Croatia. It may even inspire them to discover the natural, cultural, and historical treasures of Zagreb and the wider country. Additionally, our Airbus A220 offers a modern flight experience, featuring advanced technology and improved environmental efficiency within our fleet,” stated Jasmin Bajić, President and CEO of Croatia Airlines.

In addition to the resumed Prague-Zagreb service, capacity will also be increased on the existing Prague-Dubrovnik route. From May, Croatia Airlines will operate this connection twice a week – on Thursdays and Sundays. This will be complemented by flights to Split, which will also run twice a week during the summer season, on Mondays and Saturdays.

Flight tickets to Zagreb and other destinations can be booked online via the Croatia Airlines website.
