In the first month of this year, domestic manufacturers produced 14% fewer cars than in the previous year, totalling 113,826 units. “The slower production of some domestic car manufacturers correlates with a decline in new registrations in the EU, particularly in our most important export markets such as Germany, France, and Italy. Against the backdrop of other current challenges regarding competitiveness, it is crucial that Europe does not continue as before and is not hampered by an endless series of regulations or policies without concrete implementation measures,” said Zdeněk Petzl, CEO of the Association of the Automotive Industry.
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Transport Minister Martin Kupka recently presented measures to ensure the industry’s competitiveness and preserve jobs.
