There’s already a hint of spring in the air, and in less than a month, Prague’s traditional Easter markets will return. From 4 to 27 April 2025, the city’s historic centre—including the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, and Peace Square—will come alive with vibrant markets.
The Easter markets in Prague offer folk entertainment, demonstrations of traditional customs, and handicrafts. Numerous beautifully decorated stalls will showcase typical Easter goods and gifts, including intricately decorated Easter eggs, ceramics, and blankets with spring motifs.

Of course, there will also be plenty of food and drink on offer. In addition to classic Easter dishes, visitors can enjoy a variety of specialities, including grilled sausages, the world-famous Prague ham, homemade cheese, and exquisitely decorated gingerbread.
This year’s Prague Easter markets once again promise an unforgettable experience for all who wish to celebrate spring and Easter in a charming setting filled with culinary delights.

The Easter weekend in 2025 falls from Friday, 18 April, to Monday, 21 April. Good Friday (18 April) and Easter Monday (21 April) are official public holidays, meaning most people will have time off. Schools in the Czech Republic close on Maundy Thursday, 17 April.
