This weekend marks the start of the new season at Chuchle Arena Prague. The first race of the year will take place at the racecourse on 22nd and 23rd March.
The Spring Show Jumping 2025 (Jarní závody 2025) at Chuchle Arena Prague marks the start of the new show jumping season. On the weekend of 22nd and 23rd March, riders and horses will compete in exciting show jumping events. Spectators can look forward to thrilling equestrian sport at one of the Czech Republic’s most traditional equestrian centres – admission is free!
Basic Rules of Show Jumping
Riders and horses must master a given course with obstacles, aiming for as few faults as possible and the shortest time. The individual obstacles are numbered to guide the riders in the correct order and direction. The height of the obstacles varies between 80 cm and 160 cm, with 160 cm representing the highest level of difficulty, which can also be found at the Olympic Games or World Championships.

Chuchle Arena Prague
Chuchle Arena Prague is located on the southern outskirts of Prague, on the left bank of the Vltava River in the Velká Chuchle district. It has been the most important horse racing track in the Czech Republic for over a hundred years. Today, this traditional sports complex is evolving into a modern, multifunctional equestrian centre and is playing an increasingly important role in Czech equestrian sport. Additionally, the arena offers unique facilities for various events, overnight accommodation, and, last but not least, the opportunity for active riding at the riding school academy.
The sports season, which includes over twenty race days and course weekends, usually lasts from the beginning of April to the end of October. Events, accommodation, and the riding school academy are available all year round.
Further information can be found on the Chuchle Arena Prague website.
