The Australian rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard will return to the Czech Republic on 11 November 2025, bringing a special rave set to Prague’s SaSaZu. The set will see the band take an ambitious, improvisational approach to their extensive oeuvre.
With the rave set taking inspiration from The Silver Cord—their 2023 foray into electronic and synth-heavy sounds—prepare to dance as KGLW evolve in real time, transforming their extensive oeuvre entirely. Swapping their no-nonsense guitars and fuzz pedals for a custom-built, fully modular synthesis table, they stay true to the same beating heart of their ethos: ambitious, improvised, and epiphanic. Get ready to rave and freak out.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard (KGLW) are an Australian rock band formed in 2010 in Melbourne, Victoria. Their early releases blended surf music and garage rock and were released on their label, Flightless. In the early 2010s, they put out several psychedelic and progressive rock albums before incorporating a broader range of musical styles later in the decade, such as jazz fusion on Quarters! and folk-inspired elements on Paper Mâché Dream Balloon. In 2016, they gained mainstream attention with Nonagon Infinity, which won the ARIA Award for Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album.
