On Thursday, beer lovers can once again look forward to the annual Festival of Microbreweries – První Pivní Máj, which will take place on 1 May 2025 in Prague 6 around the Břevnov Monastery. For the tenth time, the best Czech and Moravian microbreweries will present their products and offer visitors the opportunity to taste around 80 different types of beer straight from the barrel.
The breweries taking part include Falkenštejn, Raven, Beránek, Břevnovský klášterní, Zichovec, Švihov and Klenot. There is also plenty to discover for wine lovers, as Moravian wines are presented by various suppliers.

In addition to tasting beer and wine, there are also a number of activities for visitors. For example, they can compete against each other in a timed beer drinking competition or in a beer stein chase. There will also be a demonstration of the historic grinding of wooden barrels. Musical entertainment will be provided by guitarist Petr Kadlček and his guests, who have already created a great atmosphere in recent years.
Food and drink will also be catered for: in addition to grilled cheese, burgers and hot dogs, visitors can discover numerous stalls with other delicacies. There is a bouncy castle, a bumper car and a merry-go-round for children. Souvenirs from the breweries and T-shirts with the event logo will also be on sale. Children can have fun at the autodrome, the bouncy castle or the merry-go-round.

Admission to the festival of microbreweries is free. Further information about the event can be found on the Facebook event page. Beer lovers and connoisseurs should definitely make a note of this date.
