Severe freezing rain is currently causing significant disruptions at Prague Airport. Flight operations are running on a limited basis, particularly for arriving aircraft. Passengers should expect delays throughout the day.
Prague Airport (Václav Havel Airport) is currently operating only in a very limited mode. Due to intense freezing rain, arriving flights are being restricted to allow for the de-icing of the main runway, taxiways, and aircraft stands. These measures are causing delays over the course of the day.

According to the airport, preparations for the weather situation were made well in advance. Teams responsible for maintaining operational areas were reinforced, and equipment and materials were kept at the highest level of readiness. In exceptional cases where safe operations can no longer be guaranteed, restricting air traffic is the only responsible solution. The safety of passengers and staff on the apron remains the top priority.
Due to the delays, passengers are asked to regularly check the airport’s website as well as their respective airline for the latest information.
