With a rating of 4.3 out of five stars, the largest international airport in the Czech Republic has made progress compared to the previous year, when it was in fifth place. At the top of the ranking remain the airports in Istanbul, followed by Porto, Athens, Prague, and Zurich. This rating is based on reviews from Google users, compiled by travel portal Holidu. Heraklion Airport in Greece received the lowest rating.
Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Board of Prague Airport, expressed his pleasure at the positive development: “I am delighted that despite the difficulties with baggage at the start of the summer, we have managed to remain among the best European airports from the perspective of Google users. We take into account various sources of feedback, and this international comparison is one of them. Passengers particularly appreciate the range of shops, restaurants, and family areas. At the same time, we are receiving increasing feedback about waiting times for baggage after arrival. We are addressing these suggestions to further improve passenger satisfaction.”
The report praises the wide range of services and facilities at Prague Airport, including shopping options, restaurants, showers, rest zones, workspaces, and family-friendly areas. The high standard of cleanliness and comfort is particularly highlighted. A special attraction is the unique covered bridge that connects Terminal 1 and 2, facilitating transfers for passengers. Additionally, the airport is well connected to the city centre and other destinations by various modes of transport, such as the underground, bus, taxi, and car hire.
This year, Prague Airport has introduced several new features, including spacious rest zones for passengers, the option for self-check-in for baggage at both terminals, and an expanded range of restaurants and shops. The comfortable and spacious trolleybus No. 59, which has been running since spring, also contributes to customer satisfaction.
