Christmas is a time for giving and spreading joy. During Advent, Prague glows with a special charm: trams and buses decorated in festive splendour travel through the city’s streets. This year, the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) is taking the festive spirit a step further. Its Christmas fleet combines the holiday cheer with a charitable initiative to support children in care homes across the Czech Republic.
Inside the decorated vehicles of Prague’s Christmas fleet, you’ll find 70 wishes from children living in Czech care homes—a small selection of hundreds of heartfelt dreams. Now, you can help make these wishes come true and give the children a Christmas they’ll never forget.
How You Can Help
It’s simple! Send an email to jezisek@dpp.cz stating your maximum budget for a gift. In collaboration with the Czech Federation of Children’s Homes (FICE), you will receive a link to a suitable gift available from an online shop, along with the name of the child and the care home address. You will purchase and pay for the gift yourself, while the transit company acts as a facilitator. Please keep in mind delivery times for online shops and couriers to ensure the gifts arrive before Christmas.

For these children, the gifts represent much more than material items. They are a sign of care and show the children that they are not forgotten. Each gift brings a smile to a child’s face and creates cherished memories.
