The South Korean airline, Asiana Airlines, will commence flights between Prague and Seoul starting this April, with ticket sales already underway.
Regular operations on this new route will begin on 1 April 2025. Asiana Airlines will operate the service three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays – using an Airbus A350 aircraft with a capacity of 311 passengers. The aircraft is configured to offer 28 seats in Business Class and 283 seats in Economy Class.
The arrival of Asiana Airlines at Václav Havel Airport Prague will increase the frequency of flights between Prague and Seoul to a total of seven per week. Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, said: “Asiana Airlines arrives in Prague as a strong global brand. I am very pleased that we have managed to further enhance the number of direct flights on this popular route to Seoul. Passengers will gain access to a range of connecting flights within the Asiana Airlines network from Seoul to destinations across the region. This increased frequency of flights will also foster greater business cooperation between the Czech Republic and South Korea and attract more Asian tourists to the Czech Republic.”
Asiana Airlines currently flies to six European destinations: Frankfurt am Main, Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona, and Istanbul. Prague will become the carrier’s seventh European destination. Won YooSeok, President of Asiana Airlines, commented:
