    NHL Global Series 2024: Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils to Open New Season in Prague

    After the Ice Hockey World Championship, ice hockey fans have another top event to anticipate in Prague. The National Hockey League (NHL) will kick off the new season at Prague’s O2 Arena with the NHL Global Series™ 2024, featuring games between the Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils.

    The 2024-25 NHL regular season will open with two games at Prague’s O2 Arena. The Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils will face off on October 4 at 20:00 and on October 5 at 16:00.

    Before their trip to Prague, the Buffalo Sabres will hold a training camp in Munich and play a test game against Red Bull Munich on Friday, September 27. This game will be part of the grand opening celebration of the Red Bulls’ brand new home arena in Munich.

    This is not the first time that NHL games have been played outside of North America. NHL teams have played 42 times in Europe, with seven of those games taking place at Prague’s O2 Arena. While the Dallas Stars will be the 27th NHL team to play their first regular season game outside of North America, it will be the second game in Europe for the New Jersey Devils.
