The weekly market in Prague’s Lesser Town starts its new season in mid-March

Starting in April, the popular weekly market will also be held every Tuesday

The weekly market in Prague’s Lesser Town is back! From mid-March, it will once again take place every Thursday – and from April, it will also be held on Tuesdays. Two of Prague’s favourite farmers’ markets, Naplavka and Kulaťák, have already opened their seasons in recent weeks.

The market on Malostranské náměstí will kick off its new season in mid-March. Located just a short stroll from Charles Bridge and surrounded by the historic buildings of Prague’s Lesser Town, this market is one of the most picturesque in the city.

New: Market on Tuesdays from April

There’s big news ahead of the season: from April, the market will no longer only take place on Thursdays, but will also be held every Tuesday. The previous Saturday market on the first weekend of the month will be cancelled.

“It’s hard to believe, but we’ve been organising the market at Malostranské náměstí since 2020. What’s new this year is that there will also be a seasonal market day on Tuesdays, replacing the former first Saturday of the month – but only from April. There are some exciting innovations planned, which we’ll keep you updated on regularly,” the organisers shared on social media.

The market offers a traditional selection of products from Czech farmers and breeders – including fresh vegetables, fruit, dairy products, and freshly baked bread. The variety is complemented by goods from local traders, as well as offerings from nearby cafés and restaurants.

The weekly market runs every Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. – and, from April, will also be held every Tuesday.
